We are Furries
Furries are individuals that are interested in Anthropomorphic Animals with Human characteristics. As children we adored the likes of Bugs Bunny, Robin Hood, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Lion King and many Disney shows featuring animal characters. What made us unique is we’ve chosen to continue indulging and expanding on the inherent cuteness of cartoon animals and associated artwork as adults. We design our own characters that either represent us or something entirely different and many of us choose to roleplay in that character. For some of us, this roleplaying allows us to discover parts of our personality that we weren’t aware of and forego our self esteem or social anxiety issues.
Why the Fursuits?
Fursuits allow us to roleplay our characters in a much larger capacity as nobody can see our physical being. All we’re showing is our most unique self, our personalities and are not feeling burdened by our physical appearance. Our group, Fursuit Adventures’ mission is to organize and facilitate public fursuiting events while maintaining a positive relationship with the general public. We are human under those costumes and simply want to spread the excitement and joy that enlightens our days with the general public.
